| My 5yo gets a fresh pair at night after bath, and then a fresh pair in the morning. And we gets a fresh pair of pjs every night too. Yes, we do a lot of laundry. |
Your husband is in the crazy majority. Do not fall for it. You are creating habits for life. Change the underwear. As they get older, it becomes more and more necessary. |
| My 4 yr old changes them 2x a day.... |
| After bath at night |
+1 Kids get dirty. Whatever. And I have enough laundry to do already. |
WTF? Are you a germaphobe or a mommy martyr or something?
|
Why is it necessary to change your underwear twice a day? If you are having that much of an odor problem, you may need to see a doctor. |
| My boys generally just wear their boxer briefs to bed - both run warm and don't like pjs. In that case, they wear a clean pair to bed and do change in the morning. |
| OP here -- I just know we have some hot sleepers. Even in the middle of winter, which is why I always change in the morning. Are they clean? Perhaps - but it just feels better to change into clean cool underwear in the morning. JMO ( obviously not my husbands!) |
| Usually both for us, why not? |
I can't believe people don't wear underwear to bed. Your bottom. Your decision. |
Nope. I wear my pjs twice before washing. But DS gets sweaty while sleeping and sometimes dribbles a bit in his underwear at night. I'd rather just change him routinely than smell his clothes and underwear.
|
Well not sure about you but sweat and a little dribble is common down there. Some people are ok walking around all sweaty others are not. Changing undies is healthier than wearing panty liners. There's a reason they don't make kids' size panty liners. |
| Wow, never occurred to me to not put kids in undies at night. I mean, what DH and I may/ may not be wearing is a whole separate issue. |
