Wegman's is currently under construction in Germantown, and there is one in PG county (Laurel?). |
| Ted's Hot Dogs (Buffalo) |
| Graeters Ice Cream. |
|
There is a Jersey Mike's in Laurel. It's meh...I like other nearby sub shops more (you can get good Italian subs at 3 Brothers, and Potbelly's makes better subs around here).
Wegman's is in Lanham and Columbia, but not in Laurel. |

You can get Graeter's at Fresh Markets.
But - I live a short drive from Graeter's and don't bother, because Mitchell's (Cleveland) beats the pants off Graeter's. I love/miss these guys and their goodies so much. They don't franchise yet, and might not because they're very Cleveland-centric, but if they ever do, you should be on that. They make the most fresh, delicious versions of classic flavors. Ever. Whole plump, slightly salty almonds in the Rocky Road. omg. http://mitchellshomemade.com/ For fancy modern flavors made with pastured cream - http://www.jenis.com/ A little rich for my blood... $10-12 a pint. But people get irrational over the salty caramel. |
WEIRD. Did the one in Lanham send me coupons in Silver Spring? Was I hallucinating? ...

| Taco Cabana - Mexican fast food, freshly made tortillas. DC does not need any more burger places. |
| Fairway supermarket...like a whole foods-but better and cheaper! I miss it sooo much. It is based in NYC. |
| I'll agree with Taco Cabana......great tortillas, queso, and magaritas too. That's fast food anybody could like! |
| Roy Rogers. It seems to making a comeback lately but nowhere close enough to DC to be convenient. |
Depending on what part of the DC area you are in, there is also Sonic in Winchester, VA and Fredericksburg , VA. |
| Runza, this place is basically in Nebraska only. There are a few in Colorado and Kansas. Yum!! |
