Yes you can do it for the most part, but as pps have mentioned you will likely need help driving to buy baby stuff and moving things around. Use dipers.com and sign up for amaon prime now. If your dh has to work, maybe he can work slightly shorter hours for a week or two.
I think people are forgetting how small and light newborns are in the first 2 weeks (i never had problems holding mine after day 2) and how much they sleep during the day in those first couple weeks. I found 6-8 week olds MUCH harder once theyve reached the fussy and awake and needing to be held all the time stage. |

Definitely get help lined up -- everyone is different, so this is the best option.
Early days are important, baby blues are common, extreme pain is common (with CS), etc. I have had 2 CS (boo!) and shudder to think what I would have done without help. I had pain, incision infection/staple issues (internal staples being rejected through my skin, TMI!! Which meant I could hardly walk with the pain...etc.) Not trying to scare you -- even with the "bad" stuff, those newborn days are something I cherish and wouldn't give up for anything in the world.
