Yes...I think about my sweet, kind, teenage son, who will turn 18 in a few years, when I'm reading a lot of these posts that assume that all men are potential threats to young children, especially girls. The tone of their replies go beyond just protecting children from pedophiles. When my DS was under 9, I would hang outside public restrooms fearful. I have always trained my children to be observant and travel in packs, etc. It just makes me mad that decent, good men will automatically be suspected of evil just because they're male.

Hell, I can remember years ago browsing the metropolitan sex offender registry and I recognized someone. She was a Starbucks employee who regularly made my morning latte, she was convicted for sexually abusing a 11 year old girl.

PPs just make sure that your children are observant and not needy when traveling alone. Male pedophiles seem to often use sick women that they're associated with to lure children to them.
