No men next to unaccompanied minors

I've been on two flights with my kids ages 5 and 7 where the flight attendant has moved an unattended minor around their age over to sit near us. It made a 5-6 hour flight so much easier us as well. My kids loved having another kid with them and it totally changed the dynamic of my kids bickering with each other for hours into getting to chat and play with a new friend.

So at what age does your male child become a threat to others? We know all males are problematic. Therefore male children must be problematic. What if you have a son. What age should you separate him from your dd and other females? Do you tell your ds he is a monster? Should you abort a male child?

All I can type is there was a creep at DS's high school who was a few months short of 18 and preyed on a girl who just turned 14. Not dating just hooked up in a big way--arrestable in some states.

Yes, all of us who never had the privilege of being an unaccompanied minor somehow never managed to cut the apron strings, or leave the country, or have a sense of adventure.

This is my thought exactly. If you have a boy, you're teaching him men are evil and can't be trusted. That won't turn out well when he starts to turn into a man and he was taught all men are bad. If you are raising a daughter, she's being taught all men are bad, want to hurt her, and can't be trusted. I'm sure that will help foster unhealthy relationships with men as an adult. This mass hysteria is out of control. There is a way to protect and teach your kid safety without thinking all men are evil. But then again, some of you probably think I'm an awful mother for leaving my kid alone with their grandfathers and uncle.

He's 7 and big for his age, I've already taught him to scream and go for the crotch with his fist or foot.

I would have no problem at all having my unaccompanied son or daughter be seated next to a man on a flight.
