Why is Caillou bald?

Anonymous
My kindergartener still loves Caillou. And it never occurred to me to ask why is the boy bald? But sadly I must confess after reading the whole thread that I knew Caillou's grandparents on the show were his paternal grandparents.

Another trivia question: What kind of school does Caillou go to?

(And if you know the answer - who ever heard of naming it that?)

OUr 3 year old loved Caillou and so did we until we realized our son was trying to copy his whining, then we cut him off.

We finally picked up on in when we were on a long car ride and we heard several Cailou epidsodes in a row. Evey time Caliou says,"Please mommy? Can have/do/watch one more time?" Mommy give a little chuckle and says," okay Cailou but this is the last one." She does seem to say no very much or at all. Then for the rest of the weekend our son started whining and begging for everything we said no to in the exact tone of voice Cailou had.

It's too bad becuase the majority of the shows where really great for our DS and he adored them.

Also FYI avoid the books. The characters don't even look like the ones ona TV and they are poorly written

Do they both have "big jobs"?
And why is Ruby made to be so insanely annoying?

yes!! i'd love to know. Ruby is AWFUL. what a bossy sister. and soooo passive-aggressive.

We love the Caillou song - we sing it every time.

The problem with Sarah, is that she is YELLOW. Her skin color is YELLOW. Really, how stereotypcial is that. This cartoon wasn't made that long ago.

I watched an episode of Max and Ruby where he kept making her miss the buss. It made me anxious. I think Max is the annoying one. He's always messing crap up.

Wait until your kid is 16, and then you will be so nostalgic for Caillou you will read through an entire thread like this. I am almost, but not quite, ready to even watch another Barney episode, but I don't think the big purple dinosaur is even on any more.
