Caillou has taught DD all the animal sounds, it has taught her how to march back inside the house and how to dress up, all while I breastfeed her little brother.

That's true -- it's in the official book. According to the story, though, Ishmael (from whom Muslims claim descent), was the son of Hagar, another partner of Abraham, not Sarah. In any case, Sarah was herself a daughter of the local community, so the name, which means princess, must have been common there.

Recently, there was an episode of Caillou where had a full-on tantrum. I really enjoyed that. The whinier he gets the better I like him. Makes my child looks like model for good behavior.

I have to say, he Whines WAY too much!! My DD loves him though.

It seems to me that they got a new kid to be his voice in the newer episodes (at least I think they are the newer episodes - they are the ones I haven't seen about 30 times each) and it amazes me that they managed to find a child even whinier that the previous one. Now I actually miss the old voice - the kid probably hit puberty early from drinking nonorganic milk.

Caillou being voiced by a dead person almost makes me feel bad for finding him so annoying.
