That's strange. Lila is pronounced LIE-lah in Hebrew (I'm Jewish and have spoken Hebrew my whole life).

I have a Lila that is pronounced the way you want. Most people get it right but some people, particularly Spanish speakers, don’t. But my DD doesn’t seem to mind correcting them and after that one time they get it right.

I know several Jewish Lilahs and they all pronounce it Lie-lah!

I like Lila, people will not pronounce it Leila. More likely they will pronounce it "Lilla" or "Leela"
