DH can have the expensive car. Everything else, I just buy whatever. My parents will ask me about brands and more often than not I can't even remember what I bought.

Why do people need to point out they "can afford" a luxury item but choose not to. Are we supposed to be impressed?

Not the poster your questioning, but her pointing that out is in indictator just how loyal she is to Subaru. Most people trade-up their new cars if they can afford to.

But the one I've stuck with the longest is my coffee brand. Been drinking the same brand since I was two years old when my mom used to put a few drops in my milk, so 37 years. I have it shipped by the dozen from home since I can't buy it here.

What kind of coffee is it?

Dove/Oil of Olay soap. I like both, but no others.
Diet Coke
Angel Soft toilet paper (am I the only one who doesn't like Charmin or Cottonelle?)

We have few brand loyalties--

Bounty paper towels--we use cloth most of the time but it is nice to have Bounty around.

Always pads

California Baby soap for DC

We don't have much brand loyalty to food since we eat mostly unprocessed foods. We only drink grassfed milk but the brand doesn't matter to us there.

Other than that, it's what is cheapest, really.

I hate that I am that attached to as many name brands, OP thank you for making the point.

Now someone's going to dare to call you white trash and you'll take umbrage to it. Then a big, silly argument will ensue with everyone taking offense. You'll say that everyone in DC is an elite snob, and everyone will say you're a hillbilly.

Yeah, we've seen it all before.
