Oh, it's you again. How many times are you going to post the same load of crap? It should be obvious that you criticize Obama for wasting his time on health care, and then your own list of priorities includes proposals for health care. Way to go for contradicting yourself . |
What color is the sky on your planet? Are there trees? Do the laws of physics apply? |
this is a dumb conversation. nothing of substance is being discussed |
Is there a "like" button I can click? |
I agree -- I have no idea what we're even arguing about anymore. |
Okay, I will tell you what - while you are worried about the type of ultrasound us abortion-having women (including myself) use prior to having our abortion, it looks to me like Obamacare enacted a Death Panel set up to deny coverage for treatments to Medicare seniors because they are too old or would cost too much. So I will tell you what, next time I get an abortion, I will appease you and just do the non-vaginal ultrasound if you can accept the fact that your grandfather or grandmother might be left to die because the Obamacare Death Panel says their life-saving colon cancer treatment or whatever costs too much - obviously, in a Democrat's utopia, that would be the way things work (at least that's how your laws work). To a weirdo like you, someone being denied life-saving healthcare is on equal par to having an ultrasound, so why concern yourself with a worthwhile issue like Obamacare's Death Panel when you can post and post and post your indignation over these vaginal ultrasounds, right? Well, FYI, while you and Rachel Maddow were obsessing over something as stupid as the vaginal ultrasound issue, the Republican controlled house just passed a repeal of the death panel - all but 7 Democrats opposed the bill too. Now it has been given to the Democrat controlled Senate for action. I wonder what they will do with it . . . It's H.R. 5, the Protecting Access to Healthcare (PATH) Act. |
OK now we're just going to make stuff up. Free optional counseling is not a death panel. Nor is it a government mandated procedure. Sorry but you are just fizzling out on this one. |
medicine is one of the United States most excellent products. We are the best in the world. It is the only area where we are the best at...by a wide margin. We have the best doctors...the best facilities...the best drugs....the most choices. The economy is in shambles...lets f..up the one of the only things this countrey is excellent at. Obama Sucks |
Sure, but if you can't afford it, it might as well not exist. What is more important for the citizenry as a whole is which country delivers the best health care to its people. And from what I have read and heard, the answer is that plenty of countries outrank the US. |
We have the best technology. But as with many things, the best technology is not often the best outcome. Our health system is high cost and not measurably better. So consider us the Betamax of healthcare. |
Dems say, "Look 8.2% unemployment rate, its getting better!"
Theres a record 88million out of the workforce Only 120k jobs added last month. This is not an upward recovering economy. |
unemployment can drop to full employment at 5.5% and you would still find something wrong with the numbers. you are correct that the jobs added last month is low compared to estimates and that supposedly less people are looking for jobs but theres been somewhat of a downward trend for a few months. that says something. even in the best condition 8.2% is still high so how can anyone really jump for joy that we are still 3 percent higher than full employment? nobody can. we can at least feel comfort that the direction of the number are downward as oppose to up no matter how fast, slow, or otherwise. doesnt mean obama if promised re-election but lets not try to find only bad in this |
Well what kind of crock of shit number is 88 million? I'm one of those because I choose to SAH. So because we are doing so well that we only need one income, I contribute to your statistic of doom. Here are the real numbers: http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t16.htm As you can see, there aren't 88 million people looking for work. There aren't 88 million people even if you include those discouraged from finding work. Not 88 million people even if you include those working fewer hours than they want. Nowhere close. So go ahead, throw around a number which includes families who are doing great, include people who are retired. Great logic twister. |
So I just graphed the historical "out of the workforce" number. It has been increasing steadlily for the last ten years.
It is clearly measuring retirees which are increasing due to the boomers and increased lifespan. |
To blindly explain bland economic numbers with distorted logic that there are families doing great out there who only need one income earner is a clear demonstration of the goggles you wear. Your link very clearly shows that there 88million people out of the workforce. Dont confuse yourself about unemployment rate-- which is based on the number of people actually looking for work and number out of the workforce. Without a doubt, the numbers are not great (but not horrible), short of predictions, and a sign of slowing recovery. Of course, thats just my opinion... you can look at the markets response to the news (stock market was closed, but futures trading continues)-- S&P as well as Dow Jones futures dropped through the day. Feel free to investigate for yourself on WSJ, FT, or Bloomberg-- none of which are as optimistic as your happy family sitting at home with a single income earner. |
