I've lived in the Gaithersburg area for a very long time, and I do call the area in question "North Potomac", simply because most of the people I know refer to the part of Gaithersburg west of I270 as "North Potomac" as opposed to Gaithersburg. Not everywhere in North Potomac is automatically a desirable place to live, though.
Houses in that area do cost more than they would cost elsewhere. Homes in the Wootton cluster can command a higher price, in part because so many people will move so their kids can go to school there. I think the house is very reasonably priced for that area. Whether or not it is cheaply built is irrelevent; the market will dictate how much it will sell for. OP, if you are still want the house, I hope you are able to get it. To anyone else, I would take some of the PP's advice about not telling people on DCUM about a house you are interested in. |
| I've eyed this house too, but looks like it's now gone. Who's the lucky buyer?! |
| And what did they offer.....? |
