Is North Face Really Worth The Price?

No...and it's totally ghetto.

I have never bought into the North Face brand until recently I bought a pull over sweater with a fleece lining and oh my god, this is the warmest piece of clothing I have ever worn. I don't know if I am imaging things or not, but I was just curious what other people thought of the NF brand. Right now I give it total thumbs up. New NF customer

I like the cut of NF better than the others mentioned.

This made me laugh out loud. So true - especially at pickup at my children's private school.

Used to be NF would get you mugged in certain neighborhoods/schools/metro stations. But that's pretty far from your children's private school, I'm guessing.

I wonder if they're over the fad in those places too.

Maybe... if you are going to climb the NF IRL. That kind of gear could save your life from the elements.

It's crossed the line to Ghetto.

People now kill for it--like Air Jordan's of the past. The rap crowd loves it. It is sooo branded.

I giggle when I see boring white parents wearing it now...

Thanks for the guarantee tip. One of the pocket zippers was stuck for weeks, until a friend fixed it yesterday.

+ 100. My teen wore it all the time and it was a better investment than all the things she wore one time and then hid in the closet.

The NF fleece will not get your ES kid killed, but you do need to warn them that it will get stolen if they leave it unattended for more than a minute.

No...I vividly remember one of my friends getting her brand new, super expensive North Face jacket stolen from a party a few years ago. She thought it would be safe because we were at the house of someone she knew and had put it at the bottom of a pile of coats. This was in Blacksburg (which is known for its horrible, windy winters) and she had to walk home without a coat.

Brings back sad memories of my brothers hornets starter jacket that was stolen from the mall food court on Dec 28th, 3 days after he got it! He begged for MONTHS and my parents saved for MONTHS, tears, tears, tears!!!!

LOl. Just bought a used kiddie jacket for $10.Beautiful, used but spotless, good quality, but I don't want my kid killed for it.I will resell it or have him wear it only in Europe.

Doubt it.I see them in our school's lost and found all the time. You can get a fleece from Marshall's for $25 and coat for about $50.
Tired of seeing the logo.I would buy it for my kid if we lived in the north, not in DC.

My Guess jeans were stolen from a locker room in 1984. Still mad about this.
