12:30 here, and we'll definitely be using aftercare, as well as the before care. We both work full-time and couldn't do it any other way. See you in September!

Great! What are your plans for the summer break? I am worried about that but figure maybe we can find another family to do a short term share with a college student.

We decided not to go with Franklin. We were very impressed with the school when we visited, and we thought that it was our first choice. But, when it came down to making the decision, we realized that we were uncomfortable with the class sizes in both the toddler and primary programs. While the ratio is two teachers to 12 students in each toddler class, there are two classes per room, and that just seemed like a lot of kids to us. Plus, the classes get even bigger (two teachers to 30 students) in the primary program.

We are now deciding between two smaller schools each with smaller classes and lower child/teacher ratios in both the toddler and primary programs. For us, it took visiting schools and considering their differences to really figure out what would be a good fit for our family and child.

That said, Franklin seems like a wonderful place. Many thanks to those sharing their thoughts here. It really did help us think through this decision. Best of luck to all.

The part about the primary classrooms having 2 teachers for 30 students is incorrect. Our DC is in their 3rd year at Franklin and has always had 3 teachers in the classroom.
