How is the crazy in-home daycare provider posting on DCUrban Mom throughout the day? Is this one of the weeks in your 4 weeks off? Who is watching the kids? |
Actually no, it isnt one of my 4 weeks off. My kids have either been napping, not here or eating lunch while i hopped on to print some things for them to work on before they go down for their nap. Not that it isnt your concern but my kids are very well cared for, thank you BTW does your boss pay for you to sit on a moms forum all day reading threads that has nothing to do with your J-O-B? Ta ta ... time to wake the kids |
My daughter's preschool is closed the week between Christmas and New Year's -- no reduction in monthly fee. I get that. But then for the days they are "closed" they run a winter break camp for which there is an additional fee if you wish to send your child to school on those days. |
I think you don't advertise on here because you are afraid of the feedback you might see from former clients. You sound like a self-absorbed idiot. |
I dont advertise on here because I dont NEED to advertise my business. The only way I have ever had kids leave is because they have aged out or they moved. And I have plenty others waiting to come in as I keep a waiting list going. |
Then you must hide your nasty side well from parents. Just love how you paint all the posters on this thread with one broad brush as people you wouldn't want in your house. You're laughable, really. |
My DD's new center is only closed on the Federal holidays and this is one of the many reason's that I chose the center.
It really doesn't matter if a parent gets paid vacation or not. There are plenty of professions that work under different rule, i.e. some teachers/professors get a couple of months off of work. That does not entitle me to the same working conditions. The reason that centers are requesting the additional days off is because of the market demand. If the tide were to ever turn on the daycare situation in DC, you would not see centers with these ridiculous requests. I have a friend that moved here from Chicago, had a NAEYC certified center there with all the bells and whistles, and she is still amazed at the compromises that she must make to get quality care. |
@ 10:43 poster: I dont have a nasty side to hide from anyone I do daycare for, only those who are as ignorant as yourself. And you are right, there are some parents on here who I would love to have in my daycare, because they have some common sense. Something a lot of parents do not have anymore when raising their children anymore. Again, kids are allowed to run amok whatever way they please and nobody reprimands them for their actions. It is sad because the kids pay for it in the long run. I teach my kids manners and respect.
kids are napping and I have better things to do than argue with someone as clueless as yourself while they sleep. Everyone else, have a great day!! ![]() |
completely normal. ours is also closed all federal holidays + some religious + 1 week in the summer + the week between christmas & new years. like PP said, my husband & I share the burden between working remotely & taking time off. |
You do realize that with each new post you just make it worse and worse, don't you? Oh, no...you don't. I find it hard to believe you could teach anyone manners. You have to know what they are first. |
Yes, finding daycare in DC is so hard that you actually have a wait list. |
And this idiot/daycare provider should find something better to do with her free time than being on here way to go your great good way to use your time wisely. |
18:28 poster i know what manners are however i save them for those who have respect for me and the person I am IRL. I could care less what people on a board think of me just because I speak my mind and give an opinion. Therefore whatever you say to me rolls off my back because it doesnt matter to me. You dont know me.
20:49 What I do in MY free time is of no concern to you or anyone else on this board. |
Must be a short list. Tah-tah. |
Far from it |
