I'd say we're all believers, just in different beliefs. A devil-worshiper has his beliefs and is a believer.

Also generally not Presbyterians. Definitely not Unitarians.)

bible based meaning they don't make shit up to suit their liberal ideas

+1

Pretty much the attitude of the previous two PPs that John was talking about when he referred to those who worship the anti-Christ. Can't wait to see the look on y'alls faces when you find yourself lined up on the wrong side of the battle at Armaggedon. Whoops. Turns out Jesus wasn't joking when he talked about all that hippie shit.

That's an odd example to use.

Will you be joining the coven this evening for a sacrifice?

You're a moron, the question was in regards to bible based churches, not whether the bible is true or not

I'm the moron to whom you were referring. I'm sure we can agree to disagree on matters of religion but I hope we can agree that the phrase is "in regard to" and not "regards". The proper phrases are "with regard to", "in regard to". You may say: "as regards our previous conversation...."

Nope, I believe in something else and it doesn't include covens or sacrifices. It also doesn't involve being on the "right side" of Armagaddon, or being "bible-based".

Or they don't want to have to critically think about something that was written down by predominantly man living in vastly different periods and understand how it would apply today. Please tell me how to live my life via mores and values that allow slavery and treat woman as second class citizens.

Truly? Paganism is the only other thing you can think of?! Maybe Buddhism? Islam? Hinduism?

Well, it is a natural assumption - after all, Christianity is largely pagan in its origin. In fact, it's plagiarized paganism. I bet they don't teach that at McLean Bible Church.

I think the point, PP, was that if you call someone else a moron, you should try not to sound like one yourself. Glad to see you got the message.

I just want to go and sit and take in my sermon and feel like a better person, and make friends too, but not the kind who will be uptight and judgy and want to be super Christians outside of church. Just regular people who go to church on Sundays to feel like good people and try to have a good relationship with God but also don't want to make their whole LIFE about serving God and "fellowship."

That would make you a catholic.

That was my first thought as well.
