"Super stinky car" in carpool - WWYD

OP here. As always, DCUM responses quite amusing. I told my son that he was just going to have to make do with the smell and if it was bothering him, he should ask them, "what is that smell?". If he complains again we will just try the vicks (though not sure that would fly under the radar).

I dunno. I have seen moms who looked for ways to criticize other moms (some real, most imagined) in a desperate effort to make themselves look better. OP, he is at best emulating you.

I am sure they know the car smells. You could also give them a gift card for an auto detail job. Or put Vicks vapor rub under your son's nose. As I tell my ds, owner of aforementioned sippy cup, life is full of bad smells get used to it because we will be in Paris this Spring.

You're disgusting. Why would you give your kid milk in the car and then leave that in your car. How lazy are you to let it sit in there?

On long car trips, I give my children milk and snacks. This particular incident we (and this means me, my infant, and my toddler) drove 5 hours to visit my MIL (DH decided to come later due to work). By the time I got there I forgot almost everything about the trip. I assume this was a survival mechanism so that I would willing consent to get back into my car and make the 5 hour trip again. Disgusting and lazy, um, I don't agree. Insane, would be more accurate.

Hey OP, your son should see if he can carpool with this uptight lady.

Another poster that is disgusted by milk/food being left in a car for months. We don't have a nanny or a cleaning lady but everything gets cleaned regularly. Prioritize cleanliness. It's important.
