Democrats, are you scared of Romney?

Romney has gotten as far as he can go.

I fall on the quite liberal side of things and if Romney won the nomination, I would consider voting for him (after I hear more). I've been miserably disappointed in Obama. Granted he inherited a pile of SH&T from Bush and Co. but I really don't feel like he's taken the stands on issues that he promoted during the campaign.

Really, I feel like leaving the US with the anti-intellectual, Fox brainwashed, Tea Party loving right wingers who have shown NO leadership and no economically feasible ideas.

Remember that map after the 04 election that showed Canada as including the blue states, as they were all contiguous? Wouldn't we all actually be happier that way? - except, that is, for the small minority of Southern Reps with brains enough to realize that they desperately need the rich blue states.

When some of you refer to southerners and/or the voting patterns of southern states in a rather disdainful manner, do you ever wonder why so many people from other places (for example, the states of New York and Illinois) choose to move there?

Because it is warm and they are old. And because the low wages mean that cost of living is cheap for someone who has build their retirement savings and home equity in the north.

1) I referred to Southern Reps, i.e., Republicans. I will continue to show my disdain for people who repeatedly vote against their interests without a defensible higher principle.

2) Why would our disdain for a place cause people to move there?

3) No, I haven't wondered. but if you think any significant number of Northerners has moved to, say, Alabama because of the better politics...I'm not sure what more there is to say.

the socialist states become bankrupt and are forced to attack their residents with rediculous tax rates. people understandably flee.

I lived through it in MA back before Duval. Mitt is a chameleon which is why he frightens me. He so desperately wanted Ted Kennedy's seat, then the Governorship and now the presidency that he will do and say anything and spend whatever money is needed to win. I don't trust him. I'm a liberal independent and right now I would vote for John Huntsman over Mitt if I had to pick a Mormon Republican, or any republican. He's the most honest of the bunch and I think with independents he would give Obama a real run for his money.

That's why Germany's debt to gdp ratio is so much higher than ours. Oh wait, it's the other way around...
