Vent: annoying emails my neighbor sends

Please tell your husband that I appreciated it very much that he shoveled the sidewalk to the house. I thinK I can appreciate soundproofing more and more. Some days, I can hear your clock chime in the living room just like I owned it, so I am assuming that you can hear the clock here and all sorts of other regular activities. I think they call it row house living..........oh well......God willing I'll be gone one day."

I am just so annoyed by this woman, who does not like my shoveling (but frankly, wouldn't do it herself and certainly wouldn't hire someone to do it) and then just has to remind me of how she can hear what's going on in my living room. Oh, and did I mention that she had three yappy dogs that I can hear all the time. UGH. Posting here rather than writing back to her.

You have just earned lots of brownie points! Also, why don't you have a Halloween party and ask her to be the wicked witch. She won't have to act but just be herself.

Sounds as if you'd be better suited for that role.

Iam but I'm already booked years in advance. How about you because you wouldn't need to act or wear makeup and I don't have to see you to know this. Green skin, wart on nose, and cackle

OP, your neighbor sounds like my grandmother, who can also be sometimes annoying and/or passive-aggressive. I also think that it's possible if she lives alone and is lonely, she has lost her ability to be socially graceful. I like the PPs point who said that you are also doing a good deed for the neighborhood.

As far as the PP who does yardwork for a neighbor in her mid-50s, unless the neighbor has health issues, mid-50s is middle age, and she should get out there and do her own yardwork!
