How are DC schools open when VA and MD are closed?

OMG, put on your big kid panties!!! DC schools were set up so that kids could WALK! Why should DC schools close because snow is PREDICTED??? And, the Feds?? Please! Get to work, you're giving this area a bad name!

Small town with one elementary school-saw principal , staff, parents clearing walks etc. FCPS custodian. DC has small elementary schools in communities. FCPS hates strong community schools.
