I wonder how much money he is going to make off of all his other books he has for sale now that he is famous! |
| I just clicked the link and it is gone??? |
| Yes, Amazon removed it. |

From Amazon:
"About the Author Phillip R. Greaves, 2nd is a rogue scholar with respect to the topics of religion, sexuality, and politics. He was first introduced to sex at the tender age of seven, by a ten-year-old girl, who had watched her parents doing it through a keyhole. " I think I will vomit. That, and he can't even spell harvest: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/1453722289/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=283155&s=books |
I'm writing a book called "How to Stalk, Torture and Kill Pedophiles Listed on the Sex Offender Registry." Should that book be allowed? |
They allow everything else...why not?! |
As long as you are not inciting the reader to go out and follow through, then it should not be illegal. So, yes, they should sell that, too. Though, the "how to kill" bit may be too close to the law. Please see your attorney before trying to publish. |
| BTW...there are other pedophilia books on Amazon...why not whine over those that haven't been pulled yet. |
Post links to them here and we will. |
But see, this is my point. The "how to" part does incite others to go out and do it, and that's what the pedophile book is about. It's a "how to" and I don't see any way to see that as anything other than inciting others to do it. Why else is a "how to" book published? It's so others will use your techniques to their advantage. |
| the problem is that this sick bastard is teaching people how to commit a crime and not be caught and reduce your sentence in case you do. |
|
The "how to" part may incite in your opinion, but that is not the legal interpretation. I'm not a lawyer, but I understand that it is free speech as long as your are not soliciting others to go out and commit criminal acts. Should you write a book ASKING people to stalk and kill pedophiles, then you would be breaking the law.
I didn't write or interpret the laws. No need to get upset with me about it. |
Absolutely-Amazon is not bound by First Amendment Laws but they can choose to respect them. And that's the whole thing about the First Amendment and or,the freedom of speech is all about that we enjoy in this country without thought for other countries where people can be abducted, imprisoned, executed or even worse for speaking their minds. The point is we draw no lines (other than shouting "fire" in crowded theater) because free speech is just that-free speech. Not speech you agree with, not speech that is politically correct, and yes, not speech that is free from racism, sexism or other distasteful content based on subjective judgement. That's the whole point of free speech-the ability to speak and publish your opinion without fear of imprisonment. And that's why I love America. Any idiot can speak his mind as long as his fist doesn't literally meet my nose. Do I endorse pedophilia? Of course not. But I find censorship much more frightening overall. |
