LOL. 10 hours per year? |
LOL!!! |
|
I paid 16$ two weeks ago so my kid could get their Latin Honors cord.
She chose not to join NHS bc she didn't see the point, however was mildly jealous of not having stole to wear once she saw everyone with them. It is a bit of a joke but honestly, who cares. Doesn't matter. |
| Why is everyone saying that the cords are waste of money and/or expensive? My child has lots of cords and medals and hasn't paid for a single one. |
| TJ only allowed the service cord when my kid graduated in 2022. Meanwhile our base hs kid has a stole and so many cords that he looked like he was a professional wrestler. |
YOU DON'T KNOW HIS SCHEDULE!!! /s
|
It depends on the school. Some charge. FYI, you can make your own at Michaels. A kid in my son's class made his own and submitted a bunch of bogus scholarships and acceptances to the senior awards slideshow |
Have you been to a college graduation recently? All of them wear so many different things now. No one can tell which is for academic honors and which is for some club they were in. |
And it doesn't matter there either. |
| I don't agree with this but it's a good life lesson. Even professionally there have been times where I was excelling but management purposely slow rolled me so as not to hurt the feelings of slower coworkers. I wasn't told that at that time, but several years later. |
Damn, did seeing that give you cancer or did you lose a leg? |
I don't know how you shoulder the weight of such an excruciatingly difficult life |
Shut up. |
They can celebrate with family and friends. It is easy enough for a parent to make a toast be say "we are so proud that you graduated and that participated in list of X activities." |
40 volunteer hours is nothing as far as college apps go. And fwiw, he’ll still get the sticker on his diploma. |
