I was disappointed Andy was still so pathetic and needy and honestly lame. There was really zero character growth for any of them in 20 years. I can recognize though that maybe no one wants to see a movie that shows where these people would really be in 20 years.

That's the competition, and The Devil Wears Prada sequel was better than any of them.

The dialogue was fine.
The casting was fine.
Was any of that excellent? No. But what sequel of a non-action movie has been better?

Also, movies lately are all action movies. This wasn't and. it was decent. Thus, perfectly adequate given expectations.

It was a money grab and I’m not mad at Streep and co for signing up, but the writing was lazy and had none of the sharp wit and pacing of the original. As far as sequels go, I would agree, it is impossible to compete with the original, but this felt like something the writers pulled from ChatGPT.

Chat GPT is basically an averagely averaging language machine. So if people wrote an average movie it would seem like AI.

Just saw it and it was much better than I expected.

But it was criminal to underuse Kenneth Brannagh in that way. One of my favorite actors. And I agree that the tassel jacket was godawaful.

As a fan of the original, I didn't like this one. Save your money. From the screening I was at, very few people going to any of the movies at the theater anymore so it's not fun and $ concessions are ridiculous.
