If you are taking a domestic vacation in August, where are you going?

There are many options but Door County is the most popular for that.

Olympic National Park. Last year we went to Glacier.

We are driving a loop around Lake Michigan. We are starting in Milwaukee and driving to Muninsing, Michigan seeing a lot of waterfalls on the way. Muningsing is the point to stop at Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore. We will do a boat tour or kayak and hiking for a couple of days and then drive to Traverse City. We will see more waterfalls on the way.

Visit Sleeping Bear Dunes, beach time, tube down a river, etc.

Then we will drive to Holland, Michigan. DH requested since he’s Dutch. Beach, jeep dunes tour, Dutch village, Frederick Meijers Sculpture Garden with Chihuly exhibit.

On the way back to our starting point we will stop by an alligator sanctuary for DS10 and see Indiana Dunes National Park.

We live in southeast Wisconsin so we don’t need to see Chicago or Milwaukee.

I have not, but want to do this too. My best friend did and she said it was her most favorite vacation ever. (That’s how I got the idea.)

We did 20 years ago. My DH spent a lot of childhood summers in Door County. It’s pretty, no humidity, but not a lot to do.

Ha, same. I wonder if we're in the same group!

Can you link to the cabin?

We are flying into Fargo and flying out of Rapid City. Sounded strange to me but one of my kids did a lot of research and convinced the rest of us on this.

When I google Wisconsin dells I get images of water slides.

We did it a couple of years back and loved it. We went to Madison and Milwaukee as well but the rental in Door County was the best part.
