| The same is true at many older colleges. And even in renovated dorms at large universities, sometimes the A/C doesn't work well. |
| I’m surprised how much people complain about the Claremont colleges, and especially Pomona here. They have problems, but most of the ones here are overstated or boring. |

The recent slew of anti-Pomona posts seem like a person not people (similar to U Richmond a while back, which Jeff confirmed was the same person posting, boosting, sock-puppet if, etc, and eventually got blocked). |
| Paying for upgraded housing selection (via upperclassmen swapping/selling timeslots) happens at my kid's ivy. I was shocked when I saw it mentioned on parent Facebook page, so asked my kid, and they confirmed it happens. Kids all get decent housing but some kids have preferences for specific dorms/suites...and willing to pay for it. On the one hand, it's awful. But then again, I admire the entrepreneurship? |
I don't admire it, it's gross. Entitled rich kids paying poor kids to get what they want? But this does happen at other schools. Wasn't there a thread about Michigan this year? |
| Completely embarrassing for a t5 lac |
| Go to Williams! |
| How disheartening! Something needs to be done |
