| I take an eyebrow razor to mine but I only have a few hairs. |
| No! Do not embrace! Just dermaplane every night with a small electric razor and mag mirror. |
| No! Have them professionally lasered and then buy a backup laser for at-home spot treatment. This is a no-brainer. I did it in my twenties, and now I'm having to do it again in perimenopause, but so worth it! |
Did this work for others? I did 6 sessions of lasers and 6 months later it's as bad as ever. I am white, very pale with black hair so I thought I was the perfect candidate. I'm so annoyed because it took a lot to go to 6 appts and the cost as well. I think electrolysis might be what I need. I do not like shaving and I don't think it looks good. |
Electrolysis is the only guaranteed, permanent hair removal. Laser works for some people but not everyone. |
My cousin had electrolysis and they still mostly grew back. In her case, I think it was hormonal. |
| For electrolysis, do you need to let the hairs grow wild and wooly before the treatments or can you just pluck as usual before going in to zap? |
You shave in between appointments. It doesn't need to be especially long to get zapped, but they do need to be able to find the hair to put the needle into the follicle. |
| I support any woman spiritually who wants to embrace her body in it's natural state, but I will be honest -- if I met a woman with black hairs all over her chin, I'd cringe internally and avert my eyes. |
| Does the Braun thing really work? I have naturally blonde hair but get some black chin hairs. Would it work on me? |
I was curious too - a few places came up when I put “electrolysis” in Apple Maps. |
I have a friend who I'd guess has PCOS and has some facial hair. She's funny and warm and great to talk to and I've never cringed. If I were her spouse or partner I'd probably have an opinion about it, but I'm not. |
| I like the tweezerman metal dermaplaner. |
