fun safety school with good merit for high stat engineering student?

Not a safety, but Cal Poly SLO would be great. SLO is a great town. Outstanding job placement into Silicon Valley and great grad school admissions at top schools from there.

fun engineering school, good weather and merit.
I am assuming that at the end of the day the academics and aid prospects outweigh weather and fun and suggest Colorado School of Mines.
I assume Purdue is on the target list

DD is at Mines and loving it. Got about $30K in merit.

Is that per year??? If so, wowza. And congrats!!

Another vote for Mines! It’s a great school and lots of opportunities for kids to have fun outdoors and in clubs/activities.

Can I ask which scholarship that was? My kid was offered $14k/year and was told that was the most they give (president's scholarship). I'm super jealous!
