I don’t get it. Seems like a waste of money to run a terrible campaign. After losing the Senate race you’d think he would have learned something.

April inherited the seat from her husband, right? Wouldn't have gotten it without her last name. Frankly, I find both candidates to be distasteful.

This article says HRC has endorsed Delaney, but when I looked at Delaney's website, I didn't see HRC listed there. I did see tons and tons of Maryland politicians, though. (Raskin, Van Hollen, Alsobrooks, Moore, and others.)

This race is bonkers. It makes me happy that June 23 is only a week away.

As a dc resident, I will forever be proud and grateful to you Maryland residents who gave him the boot when he attempted to buy a senate seat by blowing $62.9M, yes! $62.9M into the Democratic primary for senate. What a vulgar, overbearing and offensive display of entitlement.

This needs to be confirmed but I've heard through the grapevine that he's recently separated from his wife, June Trone. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason is her growing tired of his fixation on holding some kind of federal office.

I don't live in that district, but why should a rich caucasian boomer have to "just live quietly"? Are only minorities, young people, lower income people allowed to run for office?

That's it. Dems, as a party, you don't always have to vote against the rich, white, male in favor of the minority candidate.

Trone has donated millions to the ACLU, American University, other Democratic campaigns, even Suburban Hospital (you'll see a center with his name on it right as you enter). Sure, he's rich, but voting against him on that basis is silly. We have so many rich people destroying this country right now, and he's certainly not doing that. OK, he's donated about $150K to Republicans, primarily at the state level, since 2000. In contrast, in the past five years alone, he's donated about $2 million to Democrats.

On the issue of personal wealth, April has spent about $7.5 million of her own money on this race. So can you stop pretending that she's some sort of pauper? Her extraordinary wealth (estimated at approximately $50 million) comes from her husband's banking business, which serves prominent MAGA organizations.
