I’m with you. The tone was just off the whole time. Like, unserious but not funny….shooting for satire but landing at cringe. |
I loved her college professor wardrobe and house. |
Weisz would be doing the world a favor if she passed her doctor’s name on to Amy Madigan & Caroline Kennedy. |
| I loved it. For some of the people who found it a bit weird, it might help to know that the author of the novel is better known as a playwright. |
And me too while we're at it. I've always had a bit of a crush on her and she looks so gorgeous and fresh and not done. |
She's obviously had work. Her neck reveals her age.
|
+1 also her arms show her age. But damn she is gorgeous anyway! |
That's just spilling over due to the shape of the bodice. In any case, not about her per se but I bet they edited her face/neck to smooth it out because they often have someone retouch film now for aging/wrinkles (and event photos as well). They do the same with the lead in Virgin River. I think it's sad because we as women over 40 watch them and see what's not even their actual, real, great faces and necks and then feel insecure we can't look the same. They don't even look like that themselves! |
I agree. I think she's beautiful but I still prefer watching older movies for this reason. People looked real. |
|
Plastic surgeons can pull back necks these days, not much one can do about hands though?
Best line was when vlad gave her a back hand complement saying he liked her home, it had the right kind of clutter - putting her in the boomer genre |
They do things to hands now to make them younger, fillers maybe? |
No I’m not talking about spillage from the bodice. She has the old lady crepe paper arms. |
This. You don't retain perfect elasticity in your face and none in your neck and arm skin. She had a well done deep-plane facelift. I would be my first born child on this. 100000%. |
| Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig make an absolutely gorgeous couple. Wow! |
