lol lol Did you street view this?!

There is worse. Good schools. Next to a dog park. Renovated SFH.

and an entire apartment building and parking lot with thousands of cars passing your house all day and night. Loud bass, loud mufflers...this is not a good deal.

No it doesn't - OPM Reports 317,000 Fed Departures in 2025, DoD Largest Drop in Number

Housing supply has never recovered after the 2008 crash. That's it. That's really the whole story.

I remember someone posted about this house a year or so ago!

There's a lot of pride of ownership in that house. I really like it.

what are you looking for exactly? In this price range you can either get a brand new home in some areas or an older McMansion. In Mclean there are 10-30 yr old mcMansions in this price range, 3 mil should get you a remodeled or a modernized one. The entire map of zillow is red with so many sales.

with developers buying every single rambler/split level and replacing them with new construction north of 4 mil , I am noticing how many of them sit for many months before they sell, the demand for 4.5mil 10K sq.ft. homes occupying an entire lot is dwindling. HOpefully developers take a hint and start building smaller more affordable homes to compete with dated Mcmansions. Where are all the 5K sq.ft. new homes? On .01 acre lots?

Anonymous wrote:Where are all the houses? Where is the spring inventory? I've been trying to buy a house $2.5 million 2 $3, million in Northern Virginia/McLean. There are no houses to even go look at. Or they're all terrible new builds. Where are the houses? I thought there was going to be openings after doge and administration Uncertainty... doesn't look like anyone left.

Most federal employees can't afford those houses OP, most of us are in the less than 800k range.

Also OP is looking several leagues above most of the houses purchased by federal staff. The 2mil to 3 mil range might have a federal employee spouse who worked for "fun" or personal goals.
