I Rejected a Finalist Because of Tattoos

But you look at your botched MAGA face and think that's normal.

I magine being such a loser that you have to go post anonymously online to justify your misbehavior you are too ashamed to tell your boss.

Now imagine being such a lawyer that you invent s fake story because you're envious of a coworker with a tattoo.

Jews with tattoos can’t go to Heaven by the way. Plus side, I won’t see Adam Levine in the afterlife

Completely false. The Jewish "heaven" is purely speculative, a sit relies on Jews to create it, which will never happen.

And tattoos have nothing to do with it.

401 matching to 6%!!? What will someone earning $450K/yr do without 401K matching to 6%!

I suspect OP the HR drone is going to get busted for other malicious incompetence at work.

Maybe even for harassment and discrimination during that "nice lunch"

Outside hire because OP creates a toxic workplace that drives talent away.

Also you’re bad at your job if you did this, so I hope it’s fake.

Unfortunately 5, weeks is a lot in USA.

Religion??!

Unsurprising that OP spent 4 months and can't find someone to fill the role.

OP you suck. You are hiring for the job not your lover/ pool boy. Those sound like military tattoos and names of friends that passed.

Search was 4 months long. Interviewed 18, narrowed to 2.

Second round of interviews today was a lunch. Candidate took off his coat and I saw that he had a bunch of trashy mid- aughts/late 90s tattoos like barb wire, flames, scrawled names.

The second I saw that I mentally removed him from the position and just settled into a nice lunch.

Just an observation I thought some of you all might want to know about.

So what is your company so we know who the hiring manager with shitty judgment works for?

I'll bet the woman with pink hair and septum piercing was just right in this fantasy.

Haha all these people with trashy tattoos are quick to chime in!

I am with you OP.

I was on another thread recently where lawyers were discussing whether lawyers and judges and juries care about tattoos. All these lawyers were saying, no, it's fine. I and some others disagreed. I think many people over fifty, and some over 45, can be judgmental about tattoos.

About 10 years ago, I was once a juror on a case in MoCo about an alleged crime that occurred during someone getting a tattoo. During juror screening, the judge asked if people had any issues or negative perceptions about people with tattoos. About half of the prospective jurors -- probably about 30 out of 60 people -- raised their hands. They were all dismissed from serving on the jury.

For some reason I think OP made this up to get the point across that tattoos could affect someone being hired. Maybe OP created this post to show his kid...hey look. Don't get tattoos. This person wasn't hired. Maybe. Maybe not. With that said, maybe I'm shallow, but, if I had two equal candidates....I probably would choose the one without tattoos...unless the person with tattoos was hotter. : )
