| They released the name of the stabber. Appears he was a State Department employee from McLean. |

Where are you seeing this? |
Names of perpetrator and all victims. https://x.com/statter911/status/2028493453038854521?s=46&t=E8qDVnObwqD3VskYpcZ1Jg |
| His socials are all still up, including a FB page with lots of photos of a cute dog. So sad. |
| Where are you reading this was a domestic violence situation. I don't see that reported. |
Someone in the Nova subreddit said the victim was their cousin. Not terribly reliable reporting. It seems like it's either DV or road rage? |
And IG. Seems pretty normal. There are so many crazy men walking around... with one minor inconvenience away from totally losing their mind. |

No, he doesn't seem normal. From his socials, He is a 30 something man with very few friends. |

Here's wtop's story with victims and perpetrator identified.
https://wtop.com/local/2026/03/two-dead-after-i-495-road-rage-incident-leads-to-stabbing-virginia-state-police-shooting/ Many of the news articles out right now are positioning this as a road rage incident. That seems crazy to me - who has a large knife in their car that they then decide to use to stab people. |
Followers ≠ friends. Don't equate the two. The dude seems moderately social, not a recluse, had a good job, friends, traveled... but still a ticking time bomb. |
| So he did not know his victim or the dog? There were some accounts that the dog jumped out of his car. |
His socials do seem off. More appropriate for a socially-awkward 20 y.o. than a grown man. |
