Vance announces that White House is stealing Minnesota's Medicaid funds

If they don’t have the details on the fraud by now, then I’m not sure what they’re looking for. It’s the Feds who’ve been investigating. What are they looking for, and why don’t they have it yet?

+1 The investigations have been ongoing and people (even people who are not Somali) have already been convicted. If anything Trump & Co. have hampered the fraud investigation by scaring away 75% of the US Attorneys office in Minneapolis.

It doesn’t, this is illegal.

+1 As I pointed out in the SOTU thread, making him the “Fraud Czar” for an administration soaking in fraud is not going to help him.

Whether people in Minnesota allowed 1 billion or 10 billion in fraud to occur, much of that was federal money.

As a tax payer, I’m not happy my tax dollars are being stolen by scammers.

Once Walz set up a system to root out all the fraud, sure, restore the funds.

Otherwise you want to waste more billions of dollars?

If you're unhappy with wasting billions of dollars, why aren't you calling out your own President, who is suing the IRS and the Treasury for over $10 Billion dollars? Where do you think that money is going to come from?

There's plenty of scammers like Noem, Hegseth, Patel, and others that are wasting tax dollars on jets, trips, and other personal luxuries with no accountability. Perhaps you should direct your concerns here before even focusing on Minnesota.

+1. Cut them off. California should be next.

Cut California off from what, exactly? The U.S. depends on tax revenue FROM California. California has the fourth largest economy in the world. Your Oakie relatives would starve without their tax infusion.

Gift article: Trump Administration Withholds $259 Million in Medicaid Funds From Minnesota

Vice President JD Vance said that the Trump administration had been forced to “turn the screws on” Minnesota so the state would respond to allegations of fraud.

This is such a lie. Minnesota state agencies were the first to report concerns with feeding our future.
I have a nephew with schizophrenia living in an apartment in MN with full time staff. His mental illness is severe even with medication (they do monthly injections to ensure compliance). I think his apt is regular Sectin 8 instead of a medicaid program, but if the staff goes it will be curtains for him. He needs constant supervision. Last time he had an overnight visit at his parents' he managed to drink a quart of rubbing alcohol, lose consciousness, develop compartment syndrome in the arm he was lying on, needing emergency surgery and ICU.

“ This sounds like a case for institutionalization.”

Glitch. DP but I thought you wanted to save money? The person described needs inpatient treatment but it’s been determined that Supportive Housing is the cheaper option. If Trump turns off all funding, dangerous unmediated, mentally ill people will roam free. More than already do.

Just last week Trump stole $10 billion of taxpayer money to deposit into his account at the "Board of Peace," a private organization that is controlled only by him. There are a gazillion other examples of Trump committing fraud on US taxpayers. Republican demands about accountability are nonsense. It's yet another smokescreen so that Trump can continue shoveling billions more of American taxpayer money into his pockets.

Why not first go after the states with the highest rates of fraud like Florida? Or is this just politically convenient?

Nobody responding to this. Nobody cares about the states with highest rates of fraud?? Just political stunts. Ok.

Trump pardoned rich white fraudsters who donated to his campaign. This isn't about fraud, he's only done that to Democratic states, and has entirely ignored the fraud and corruption in Republican states, such as Texas, for example, known to be rampant with corruption.

So no. This latest is going to be overturned by courts, like all the previous attempts, because it's illegal anyway.

+1 Here’s just one egregious example:

Thank Walz for that.

He had oversight and failed to act to protect federal funds from being stolen. Stolen to the tune of billions by fraudulent day care centers, fraudulent transportation services, etc….

Maybe if he safeguarded the integrity of the federal funds he was getting, they would not be cut off. He accepts responsibility for the fraud, but has done nothing to keep it from continuing…

You aren't very informed. Minnesota has been extremely active investigating fraud. Minnesota’s MFCU has one the highest number of convictions compared to similarly sized units across the country. The attorney general's office has prosecuted over 300 cases of Medicaid fraud since he took office.

In the meantime, which is most outrageous?

Trump has been pardoning friends convicted of massive financial crimes, such asJason Galanis (convicted of a $60 million tribal bond fraud) and Julie and Todd Chrisley (convicted of bank and tax fraud).

Trump engages in constant "pay-to-play" fraud at Mar a Lago where access to the President is sold to benefit his private businesses.

Trump and family have expanded personal ties to the cryptocurrency industry.

Why do you let yourself be duped like this? It is bizarre how happy you are to live in ignorance .

Idiot. But you’re happy either way your scammer President?

I take it you’re eager to look at that 10 billion dollars that Trump gifted his Peace organization. Or how about all the back room deals with Qatar, Israel and Kühner and Trump family business dealings in Gaza.

It's time for states to impound Federal Tax until the traitors and thieves are out of the White House

Nothing is being stolen by the White House.

Minnesota is not getting away with rampant corruption and suitcases of cash being sent to Somalia everyday. That crap is over.
