I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your ancestors came over from Europe, because they wanted to venture to new land (that did not belong to them). |
Yup. I’m sure PP’s immigrant ancestors had really good sob stories. |
At least 2 of the current Supreme Court Justices — who adopted children from other countries — might disagree with you. |
This poster is a perfect example of the kind of ignorance you need to keep supporting Trump. They don’t even have the simplest concept of not everything being black or white. |

Sad story.
This is not limited to immigration stories. A co-worker's brother and his wife adopted a child as an infant. One year for adoption to become final. Great-grandmother decided she wanted the child. She got him--devastating to the couple. The law in that state gave family members priority--which, on its face is reasonable. But, a year later? Just sad. |
Clearly. So deport her? |
Yes, sad after one year. But this woman has been here for half a century and they want to deport her. |
Really PP? What does this have to do with our government attempting to deport a fifty year old woman who was internationally adopted at birth and the adopted parents failed to get her naturalized citizenship. |
Yes, but she doesn't deserve to pay the price. |
Exactly, the laws have been changed so that adoptees can no longer slip through the cracks like this, but she was adopted before that time. Needless to say some adoptive parents are negligent. |
| Much ado about nothing. She won't be deported and would not have been deported. But, this makes a good story. |
