Are you intentionally trying to be a dumba$$ while telling others to be smart? And notice how there is no denial of the pay to play scheme with the coach or the queen bee situation.

he was probably just trying to lock them in early because he was burned so badly last year with the 2013s going to FVU

I imagine if you have proof of this 'illegal/unethical' scheme, you already went to MYS leadership to get this coach fired, which makes me think that the only audience that you think will believe you is here on DCUM. Given that almost every serious coach in the area has a side hustle, from HP Elite to First Touch Futsal to summer camps to IG personal trainer, do you have something concrete to share? Or are you just going to keep charging at the windmill?

If leadership wanted to know then they would talk with parents occasionally for feedback. The solution is more than escalating. If escalating doesn’t work then there is backlash.

We are a current GA family. Email offer went out before GA ID but it wasn’t a PlayMetrics Offer. The actual GA Offer to accept within 48 hours came out yesterday.

OK. So because I'm nosy and love drama, I need to know what's going on with that McLean team. Tell all, please.

The short story is that the 2014GA team is beset by a coach that rents out the team to the team manager and favors one player who is mediocre, and an administration that does nothing about it, so the team’s best player (and nicest kid) is leaving for another club. The 2013s last year decamped en masse for another club. Drama at the 2011 and 2012 age groups. It is just so fitting for McLean, they’re just not used to reality catching up to them. Everything will be fine in time, sometimes you have to plunge the toilet but it goes back to working normally.

I think the mess will clear in a year or so. Every club has its ups and downs. MYS is having a down spell because of one team but it will be back once they straighten things out.
