| I know 4 people in their 30s/40s who have died of colon cancer. They should drop the screening age to 30. |
I assume it’s the food. Colon cancer is more common in developed countries which tend to be more sedentary and have more access to processed food. |
I'm not actuary, but I bet that would result in a material increase in everyone's health insurance premiums. |
Wouldn’t it be lower because it’s cheaper to treat cancer early? |
Stage 3 colon cancer (is not stage 4) is statistically a beatable cancer. Of course it's not a 100% guarantee. Get your colonoscopy. |
No. The cost of 2-3 additional tests per person would dwarf any incremental benefits in treatment costs. |
| Super sad. I'm 44 and not gen x but grew up when he was younger in dawson's creek. Didn't really watch his show either. But sad when someone dies so young with most of DCUM calling 40's "OLD". It's really not. Live life and get your colonoscopies. I have IBS since I was 30. Had my first colonoscopy 7 yrs ago. It was easier than I thought it would be the only scary part for me was being put under for it. |
You’re horrible. You have no idea how he treated his cancer as he didn’t go into details publicly. Shame on you. And late stage colon cancer is often a death sentence no matter what. |
Np who is calling 40's old? Most people on here are probably older |
| Very sad to die at 48. Terrible for the wife and 6 kids. |
only in America with their awful diets |
| They are rising in Europe too. |
This is the medical equivalent of being pedantic. |
| Please get your colonoscopy, even if you have to hire child care, medical transport, whatever. Metastatic cancer is more hassle. |
HE GOT A COLONOSCOPY at [b]approximately[\b] the recommended age. You sound like an absolute ghoul. |
