| I've been this way my whole life. No interest in scary or sad movies. I enjoyed the serious material I read in school but I'd never pick it up for leisure. I want my downtime to be fun. |
| I feel the exact opposite, but good for you knowing what you like OP! Life is too short to waste. |
Np. My best friend and I are like this. We still manage to get along well. We recently went on a big international trip. I was shocked she watched reality tv and I think she was surprised I read late at night. She had no interest in museums but we had a lot of fun shopping and eating. |
I agree, the pillow talks are getting annoying. I can’t watch them anymore. They used to be tolerable with comments but now they have too many cheesy things built into them and are too fake, on top of whatever is already maybe fake. I put them on only if I’ve already watched everything remotely interesting and am having trouble falling asleep. Like I had a major hot flash in the middle of the night and am wide awake. It’s that season of life. |
| 45 years old female, professional career. Same here. I went down from full time work making almost 400k a year to half time making 160k a year. I just want to enjoy life and do things that make me happy at this point. Don’t care about being refined or sophisticated. |
| Same thing. Everything is too stressful to spend my free time consuming depressing content. I do think people should not insulate themselves completely from depressing actual news. It’s easy to get into that and not care about anything. But beyond that, who cares? |
| I am that person they are making fun of on SNL with the skit/song M*rder Show. Look it up on YT if you haven’t seen it. |
