| Who FORGETS to file their taxes? That is such BS. Yeah, I don't want someone who doesn't file taxes, even for one year, to be working for our government. |
What part of the OP did you miss about not being a government employee? |
No, I think if you are owed a refund you have three years to file and claim it. After three years you forfeit your right to it. |
That's cool except this person doesn't work for our government:

Genuine question: Do you guys actually care this much if someone doesn't file taxes one time? Or are you trolling?
I mean if someone told me they never filed taxes yeah, that's pretty bad, but a one-off year? Really? You care that much? |
The IRS said they didn’t receive my taxes from TurboTax two consecutive years. During those years they were rejected because someone had claimed my adopted child. The IRS kept reporting that I hadn’t filed and ultimately stopped sending us stuff after we responded with proof that we had filed. Three years later, they are saying we haven’t filed. We didn’t owe and were due a refund. We are now being told to file again for 2022 and 2021. In over 35 years we have consistently filed and our record shows this. Do we deserve to work for the government? |
