Being that there are only 4 kids taken from the #2 & #3 nationally ranked teams, I think AS will be just fine. |
| Don’t bet the farm on that. |
You must think everybody in #2 and #3 ranked team is better than all the players on teams ranked lower. That makes perfect sense! Good luck at AS tryouts. |
Of course not everyone but yeah, I’d imagine the majority of the players on M&D are better than majority on SW or you’d have much different game results wouldn’t you? You disagree? Is it the refs fault? |
| If anyone wants a good laugh, check out the GA AS rosters, especially the 2029 team. Either girls from other clubs have given up or the evaluators are just don’t care anymore about how many Eagle Stix players they take. Might as well just say the other states are playing the Eagle Stix 29 Blue team. Seems to defeat the purpose of this event. |
The biggest difference is that Top 5 teams usually have more elite players (i.e., future high D1) while the rest of their rosters aren’t very different from other teams. |
I think theres some truth to that, but if you look at recruiting, Top-5 teams typically get all their kids, or vast majority recruited high. Could be a case of a high tide rising all ships, or maybe advantage of the players 15-20 on the roster playing against elite kids weekly for years that helps build their skills. Could also be the top-5 teams are replacing their bottom kids each year. |

Several of M&D and MDU's top girls were not at the tryout. If they were, the club distribution of the team would probably be different.
Heros, SW, and Copp's top players were there. Hence they have good representation on the team. |
These rankings are from last season just FYI and the 2031 that made this team is now playing for SW, not HG. Regardless of team rankings, it's unfair to insinuate that these girls didn't deserve the invite to the team. Just because a girl plays for a high-ranking team doesn't mean there aren't other girls individually from other teams that don't have the same or better caliber of talent and vice versa. |
First time on club scene? These things are covered in politics. |
| Lots of quality local girls trying out for AA team who play on top MD and DC teams. |
Yes, we know AA Booster. |
which year? |
The year that matters - 2028. |
This aligns with what I've heard from actual real people, not just from other DCUM threads. This year, several strong 2028 players in the area are expected to try out for AA. Everyone likely has their own list of top players, but I know of at least 10 of my top players who plan to try out for AA. |
