White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded early Friday in a statement shared with Newsweek, dismissing backlash to the video clip but not directly addressing criticism that the imagery echoed racist tropes.
"This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King," she said. "Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public." …………I’m sorry but the the actual F did I just read. Are people really that dumb to believe this BS? |
The king of the jungle video is racist, too. That is where the clip is from. Promoting a video depicting black people as apes is racist, wherever the clip came from. |
CNN and the washington post are no longer independent news organizations, so you are barking up the wrong tree there. |
Do we have any reputable news sources anymore? |
| The Obama video is on the NY Times now. Trump seems especially weak if this is registering right now. |
CNN, see Kaitlan Collins earlier this week, still asks hard questions. I’m done with WashPo. On an unrelated matter, but kind of related, still trying to get my spouse to agree to cancel Amazon Prime. I always hated it and now hate it more than ever. |
| But these same people are offended by Bad Bunny??? |
CBS and Fox are propaganda networks, they are no longer main stream news. |
uh, yes. |
MSNBC sort of, Propublica, sometimes the NY Times. A bunch of foriegn outlets. |
CNN platforms Scott Jennings as a regular, legitimate contributor, sorry, no. |

Trump is racist
MAGAs somehow deny this, so I will repeat this fact: Trump is racist |
| It's what everyone I know who voted for Trump would find funny. Tells you everything you need to know about them. |
And the love to refer to Michelle as "Big Mike." |
