Thanks for the replies - I didn’t know people even treat herpes but good to know for future. This one sounds like something else, but will keep an eye. More concerned it was staph boil vs herpes but who knows.

You are a super irresponsible parent and you are teaching your daughter to be just as irresponsible. Shame on you.

You should be teaching her to deal with whatever the problem is in front of her instead of sticking her head in the sand and possibly affecting other partners.

What? It popped and is getting smaller. If it doesn’t resolve I’m having her go, but meant it seems to improving from yesterday. I called Dr and they said give it 5-7 days and track size.

Do you even know ANYTHING about herpes? The blister pops if you squeeze it and it goes away after a few days. That is by no means an indication that it is NOT herpes.

I have no idea if that's what it is. Which is exactly why you should advise your ADULT daughter that she needs to get tested instead of doing whatever irresponsbile assenine thing you're doing.

Make it make sense!!!

Because of the emotional and mental stigma and a teen trying to navigate that.

Good lord I fn hate it here. I truly fear for our children growing up in this world

I know, these poor kids have so much to deal with. Miss simpler times.

OMFG, stahhhhp. Simpler times, like when they used to send 7 year olds to work in the mines? Yes, kids today have stressors. They also have it far better than previous generations, and it has made them simpleminded and soft, expecting comfort and ease at all times and unable to handle simple adversity.

Herpes existed back then, too. Get a grip, and teach your kids to do the same.

Do you mean stop?

The “assanine” thing is what her ped said to do and that she can go there or to GYN. She said give it a few days to see if it resolves. She said they wouldn’t run any test at this stage anyways and to use a warm compress in the meantime. She said since it’s painless that was her rec.

Are you the OP? You asked if you could decline testing, right? Are you changing your story now?

Yes I called doctor this am once I saw replies. She said give it 5-7 days to see how it resolves. And then can come in there or GYN. She said std testing would be premature and could also be false neg. They do a standard panel and would also check for staph

It was on HER VULVA WHERE IT MEETS HER LEG?!?!

You mean in the crease of her leg? The is not on her vulva or labia ffs.

You and DD need to brush up on anatomy.
Plus if DD is hysterically fearful of the VD Police interrogating her lady bits for sexual activity and diseases if she has something below the belt and above the knees, she needs education. Or therapy. Or make it a family project.

This is what I was thinking.

Outer edge of vulva by leg groin. So touching vulva but def not in labia.

I got a painful swelling in my leg crease/vulva/buttock region. PCP said hot compresses, did that until could see gyn but it just got worse. Gyn lanced it, prescribed antibiotics. Got better quickly.

Why is anyone even worried about forced herpes testing? Is there a sexual contact that has herpes? Else it seems odd.
I would be more worried about flesh eating bacteria.

Hair doesn't grow there. Why do you think one person couldn't give her an STI?

Yes it does. Not a lot but enough to show in an old lady swimsuit if not tidied. Lol.
