I always think about this with MAGA....all your hate and tantrums have to be exhausting. Always the victims never the heroes. How do you keep up with your ugliness and hatred.

Snort. Let me introduce you to:
-freedom fries
-Colin Kaepernick
-Starbucks
-Dixie Chicks

And these are the same people who can't be bothered to make cakes or serve people who don't live the way they do. And who had to create or buy up social media and media outlets so they don't have read things they don't like.

But yeah, WE are tiresome. GTFOH.

LOL, none of those even close to what you're supposedly doing. Too funny. Enjoy your cold boring "shutdown" with all the other losers.

I love when little miller comes out to call everyone "losers" lol

I’m still iced IN my house so this is an easy protest for me!

Did not know about this either. But maybe this will be a growing movement where more and more people join.

That is hilarious. So the money decided to manipulate the market to make more money. This is a case of the consumer being idiots. Whoever came up with this idea to strike..an easy turn to quash the protest movement instead. It just proves that this idea was a joke.

The democrats are doing their part by shutting down the government. Again.

How does one know how the collected funds will be used? This seems like a scam. They could send the money to MAGA or pocket it. Where is the accountability? Are the donations electronic or cash?

This is insane. Maybe this countey needs to get off the Internet and detox for a couple days or whatever.

I just signed up to a six month subscription to Brazzers so we're doing our part!

Recent Conservative boycotts:

- Bud Light — Transgender influencer promotion (Dylan Mulvaney campaign); led to major sales drop and ongoing boycott.
- Target — Pride Month merchandise (tuck-friendly swimsuits, items tied to controversial designers); widespread protests and sales impact.
- John Deere — DEI policies and LGBT support; prompted policy reversals after pressure.
- Harley-Davidson — DEI and LGBT initiatives; led to company scaling back programs.
- Lowe's — Pride events and DEI; resulted in policy changes.
- Tractor Supply Co. — DEI and LGBT support; company dropped programs after rapid backlash.
- Disney — LGBTQ+ content and opposition to certain policies (e.g., "don't say gay" bill); long-running calls to boycott parks and products.
- Starbucks — DEI programs and related controversies; faced calls and some policy shifts.
- NFL — Player protests (e.g., kneeling during anthem); jersey burnings and viewership boycotts.
- Keurig — Pulled ads from conservative shows (e.g., Sean Hannity); led to product-smashing protests.
- Ford — Ads in publications supporting same-sex marriage; multi-group boycott.
- Nike — Support for Colin Kaepernick; recurring conservative backlash.

Don't forget Cracker Barrel -- They changed their logo

I cancelled some subscriptions and will not buy anything today. I will continue purchasing very little and only from local businesses as long as I can. I don’t want this to be a one day thing. This weekend, I will only support local businesses that are Latino-owned and/or closed today or at least posted their support for the protest.

What all can we do, today and beyond?

My sister in law and I were going to go out for cocktails today; we’re hitting an ICE protest and then eating at a place in Chinatown that could use the money instead. I already don’t shop and I effing detest the Amazons and Targets and we canceled Prime, I got off of everything Meta a long time ago.

OMG this is the most amazing example of a performative DC liberal. 😂You are definitely on some social Media platform screaming about your moral superiority.

You are both full of hate. Once Trump and MAGA are gone, it will be time to deal with the other side. You’re both partisan bots/pawns who don’t think for yourselves. Don’t kid yourselves. Your leaders don’t care one iota about you beyond your usefulness to them.

These people are not serious. You can’t just call a general strike. You have to have infrastructure built, like mutual aid, renters assistance, childcare. Job security or buying in from your employee/union.

As I understand it, this one-day strike was part of building the infrastructure for an eventual general strike.

For me, it was a starting point. I made a point to not go shopping the day before or after. I was low on groceries so I just ate some freezer food my college kids did eat during winter break. I am making more of a commitment to buying locally. Not only that, but taking steps to make sure the local businesses I buy from are not maga. This is often pretty easy to do. Just look up the owner and go to their personal social media pages.

DP. I'm not seeing the "hate" you're ascribing to the PP. In fact, you are the one insulting them. Are you projecting?
