Is "The Sphere" the new Arena?

Have any of you commenting ever experienced a concert at the sphere?? It certainly doesn’t seem like it. It’s not like a planetarium or an arena. I’d liken it to more like an interactive show at Disney World, but MUCH grander, visually, hearing, and feeling (seat move)

The Las Vegas Sphere has multiple shows a day, $100/ticket minimum. So, it seems possible.

No one's going to go there. No metro, parking at Nat Harbor is awful. Also boring.

It may seem shocking to you, but people go there. The last time I was there it was crowded. I live in DC.

I've seen a TV. It's a fad. It won't catch on.

That is 8/10ths a job per seat, which is an impossibly high number. I think Alexandria should try to sue Maryland over this project if they decide to move forward with it.

LOL, lots of people who come for the shows will stay in Alexandria hotels and spend lots of money there. And many of the jobs will go to VA residents. Alexandria won't sue over this gift to its economy.

I absolutely love all of the meltdowns of the accidents it absolutely guaranteed to cause. As if drivers have nothing at all else to look at on the good ole Eisenhower Interstate system of roads.

Alexandria would tear down the Woodrow Wilson bridge if given the choice.
