Does Trump not know that Norway and Denmark are separate countries?

He knows Norway isn't Denmark. But he is blaming Norway for not giving him enough rewards for being a good person, so he doesn't need to be a good person anymore. Like Brent Norwalk in the Good Place.

Another way to think about is that, even on his lucid days, Trump uses language purely in service of his goals, and Truth is not one of his goals. He is a dealmaker / negotiator of the "car salesman" variety and he'll say anything to pressure people to go his way, and craft fictional rationalizations to put opponents on the back foot. He doesn't operate at the level of intellectual debate, he operates at the level of snarling and baring teeth and foaming mouth to scare people into submission.

Yes I assume its part of the “hes so crazy he just might do it” negotiations. He is surrounded by people who could correct him

He has a cluster b personality disorder. He will only get worse.

The problem is that no one is being an adult in his administration and telling him to stop. This is what the gOp voted for

Just in case anyone misunderstood, within the past hour he was asked by nbc news about Norway and peace prize:
“Separately, he also repeated his frustration with Norway over the Nobel peace, saying that “Norway totally controls it despite what they say.”

“They like to say they have nothing to do with it, but they have everything thing to do with it,” he added.”

Um ok

Vance does not have the power or the loyalty that Trump has. Congressional leaders and the conservative six supreme Court justices are not afraid of Vance!

If only Melania were Livia Drusilla!

Trump is like this. My dad's once-thriving business went into Chapter 7, sadly, and there was nothing his family could do because he could not see his decline and he would not quit. He got nasty and defensive and did weird stuff as his dementia worsened. But he got up every morning, got dressed, drove in to work every day, did normal stuff, and still spoke very well, very lucidly most of the time right until he passed away. He wasn't able to make good decisions, which is why his business fell to ruin. He had some great employees, but they all quit when he refused to let them take over. It's so, so sad for our family.
But in Trump's case, it's our entire country that this intelligent, but demented man controls. We are in a very, very bad position right now. I'm doing what I can to prepare. Don't bury your heads in the sand. I've seen this before. The end is very ugly.

Agree. The man is putting the U.S. on a course towards civil war. He's threatening NATO. He wants to bomb Iran.

He's showing clear signs he's not well. I'm very worried.

The issue is who's going to stop him. He's been saying crazy stuff for years. He insisted mid debate people were eating cats and got elected.

I think right wing media and propaganda have rotted people's brains.

His supporters don’t care as long as it makes them feel superior to non-white people and with that, more deserving of tax breaks.

Mental illness? Dementia? They don’t want to hear about it and rant about Biden. My MAGA family members are insufferable to talk to when you put Trump’s demented truth social blather in front of them. They won’t read it and declare they don’t have social media accounts.[b]

This has to be the reason why MAGA is so oblivious to the fact that he is not well. I see reposts of his crazy SM posts every day on my SM feed, just as I'm assuming many on this board do, but I don't think his followers do. I think most "libs" know more about the crazy stuff he says and does than his most ardent followers do.

You're giving his supporters the benefit of the doubt, and you shouldn't. MAGAats are happy when they see ridiculous statements from Trump - to them the entire "normal" international system is corrupt, and needs to be torn down. In fact, for them almost every institution deserves to be torn down except for the military, border patrol, and their own Church/neighborhood/family. It's an extreme form of nihilism, as they've stopped believing in the very concept of institutions larger than the tribal unit.

+1 all this. As one Trump supporter told me last spring, “I want to see the whole system torn down.” He’s also very angry at his kids for not letting him control them.

Someone on the inside knows what is what here.

What does this mean?

Which meeting was moved to the White House?

He's not stupid. He's got a personality disorder that's worsening as his dementia gets worse. Usually people who get Alzheimers get nasty as their minds go. Most of those people don't have access to the nuclear codes, but this man does.

Ask your GOP representatives to stop this madness. They hold the power to stop him. Why won't they do it? They are not all idiots. They can get other jobs if their supporters abandon them for doing the right thing and protecting our country from this monster in chief.

That’s the problem with good con men. They are masters of manipulation.

I just watched The Wolf of Wall Street and the main character is the same way. He created a cult-like following and ended up massively rich.

A lot of people es t to follow a leader instead of creating and following their own value system. Or they have issues and just get off on being enraged about things.

What do you suggest for preparing? I can’t leave the country at the moment.

Yes. He is blaming Norway in advance for anything he chooses to do with regards to war.

Narcissists always blame others because they think they themselves are never wrong.

The meeting last week with Greenland and Denmark. It was moved out of White House at last minute, and into VP executive house. Vance commandeered the whole thing.
He’s just as guilty as trump.
