This is why you have to get applications in early - with rolling admissions, scholarships are awarded early, and when the money is gone it's gone

If that is what the school does they are the losers because more qualified people won't consider Pitt if there is no scholarship. They will have less qualified people with scholarships

They know they are more likely to be able to lock in the less qualified people.

My kid applied for engineering in late October. Got accepted in December and got scholarship letter in late January. $20k per year for four years. 4.5/3.95 GPA and 1520 SAT.

I don’t think kid has received honors college invite but should probably check on that.
