You get...stores selling a product? What exactly is the problem?

The legal age to buy cannabis in DC is 21, there's not a single kid in any DC school that can patronize those establishments so it doesn't matter whether they're 50 feet or 50,000 feet away from a school.

If stores are illegally selling to underage kids the problem is the illegal sales, not the proximity to a school. "Well, I know this place that will sell me underage cannabis/alcohol/cigarettes but it's a whole 2 blocks away from school, so I guess I won't bother." Said no kid ever.

They're breaking the law. You don't get to choose which laws are enforced. This contempt for the law *by our own government* is how we end up with lawless ICE agents running around beating people up for no reason.

Cannibis is basically legal, and even Trump wants to re-classify it. Ridiculous to relitigate that question at this juncture.

You are an idiot.

Unfortunately, probably nothing can be done for the dispensaries that were issued a legally valid permit to operate a dispensary. It would be considered a takings clause violation

Unless they are in violation of federal law with respect to their location, e.g. Mr. Green (UDC).

Who cares how close dispensaries are to schools when kids can't get in without ID and they lock them down with security doors and guards?

If someone's going to give under 21s pot products illegally the location of the dispensary is not going to prevent that.

Also, cars and alcohol kill lots of teenagers every year. THC has never killed anyone (unless they're driving while high)

I'm relieved all my kids smoked pot rather than get into drinking. I grow it myself and provided it to them free even before they turned 21.

I am sure Frumin will be reelected. Brianne Nadeau got reelected twice before finally deciding to quit (no chance she could win with ranked choice voting). The bar is low in DC.

Good job turning your kids into addicts.
