NVA ALLSTARS ACADEMY?

Pretend to be a curious parent, then post no actual information and the start arguing with people asking normal questions about location/cost/credentials.

I agree with whoever upthread said it looked like kids messing around posting a fake club. No adult would think such sloppy videos and zero information would be a good product launch.

Agree. Its so obvious on here when someone is posting pretending to be a parent to try and drum up business. Then to not provide any details and start arguing and insisting that only the true elite appreciate secret tennis court soccer games is a bizarre marketing strategy.....

You are conflating two different people on here. Someone was talking about charging for free training (targeting "street" orgs around the area) and the other is talking about this ridiculous NVA garbage. The street orgs are real and do bring elite talent. NVA AA is probably a scam.

Bethesda charges $50 for free play with s--- competition.

At the "street soccer" program we play with, sometimes we pay $20. Sometimes $10. Sometimes free. It all depends on the cost of securing the location.

But the kids are all MLS Next/ECNL from the best clubs in the area.

The policies of "street soccer" is more a test of your character and they weed people out who are the source of club "politics." The ballers in the area don't require turf fields and goals to get busy. A tennis court and some cones will still allow them to get busy.

Why would it cost $20 per person to play on a free outdoor tennis court?

How much would it cost you to assemble 20-30 top MLS NEXT/ECNL kids for your kid to play with? How much time would it take for you to search for available facilities to play?

For one, we have never played on a tennis court but I know some organizations that do and you are referencing those organizations. If we ever did, as long as the kids are there, my kid would not care.d I don't knock them if the kids are having fun, we can play in an alley. However, I know my hourly rate for running my business and $20 is well below the effort of meeting and organizing 20-30 MLS NEXT/ECNL kids for pickup and then coordinating available space that may be occupied unless it is reserved with the city/county or somebody gets there early to lay claim. It is at least 20-30+ hours of accumulated work and at least 2 hours of specific work for each session. I know my hourly rate is waaaay above $20/hour. You have a basic disrespect for people's time which is why I would reiterate, you are the source of club "politics."

Is the value prop organized free play with other skilled kids? I know of kids who go and was just curious.

"Somebody gets there early to lay claim" is an interesting phrase. Any un-permitted space is free to any and all comers. If someone shows up with a little kid and a Frisbee, they are perfectly within their rights to play catch in the middle of your "claimed early" field/tennis court/etc. The only way to get exclusive use is to get a permit or pay for a private field.

But wait, some genius posted this earlier:

“Yall are too much. Can’t comprehend that sometimes people aren’t as shady as you must be and just have genuine questions about something they saw. It must be awful being so jaded.”

You really should review your language and your assumptions. First, $20 = tennis court. Now, lay claim = exclusive claim.

You are correct and a very entitled view of this. I view public space as highest and best use. If a group of kids comes to the pitch while I am training my kid, I will try to make way to them as much as possible and work with them. If another group has the field, we have waited. It is really annoying when a group of kids is playing but a parent feels entitled to the public space for three 3-year old on a tricycle although they are “entitled” to the space. Entitlement at its finest.
