Reach out to your primary care physician to see if they can provide a refill as you get new care set up. |
like they just aren't working at all anymore? crazy |

Just got an email from our psychiatrist— they are moving to (or starting) another practice and will be able continue seeing patients virtually / provide medications as they figure out a brick and mortar location.
Email also said hold tight and we’ll be contacted about transferring records. |
| We see Shana Gage and the email sent out said she is forming her own practice and taking two of the admin staff with her. Only virtual appts for now. And they said they will have access to patient's medical records. |
I received same email from her too |
Which admin staff is she taking? |
Rose and Patricia. |
| I am absolutely stunned. DS has been going there since he was 11, he is 17 now. Now we have to find a brand new practice? In the middle of a school year? |
I'm so sorry- this feels so bizarrely rushed. I'm assuming all providers will try to keep their patients in care at new practices? I work at a nearby practice and know at least one psychiatrist is joining, if not more. If these reports above are true that providers also had no notice I'm guessing they're all scrambling to find their next professional home ( or build their own practice) |
| Our practitioner is Karen Hennessy, we got an email from her. She is trying to attach herself to another practice ASAP. Thank God I just filled DS prescription last week. |
They were great. I am so glad they have jobs |
A few providers are going to Alvord Baker |
Do you know which ones? |
| this is bizarre. this is not some mom and pop operation. Chesapeak is HUGE in the DMV. wth happened? Our provider has a private practice already so at least there's that. what a harmful thing to do to vulnerable youth in our area |

This is absolutely insane and I think the owners should be reported to the APA at least. It appears they have already opened another practice in Florida. https://www.reddit.com/r/bethesda/comments/1q33ngz/chesapeake_center_suddenly_closed/
