Chesapeake ADHD closing its doors?

Heard that an email went out this morning saying the practice closed abruptly last night. They aren't answering their phones this morning. Anybody know anything?

Yes. They are closing.

I heard from our doctor. They had little info, except that the practice is closing. Our doctor was trying to contact patients and set up continuity of care plans.

A huge practice with sky high rates. Something really bad must have happened.

Wowza. We had a brief interaction with them--a couple of dr visits before I moved on. This is horrible. And a lesson to all SN parents to keep good records because you never know what will happen.

The email was about getting refill requests in. Maybe that’s why they wanted to get them processed - they knew they were closing.

We used them for testing and they were good but haven’t had ongoing care there.

I feel bad for the providers and staff whoo have all suddenly lost their jobs.

does anyone have the email they can copy and paste in here? MY DD is a patient but we didn't receive it

We also did not receive an email from Chesapeake. One of our providers contacted us directly to let us know their future plans and help us bridge care until the provider is up and running. It’s all very bizarre and unsettling, but the 2 providers we’ve worked with have been excellent so we feel bad that they’ve been left scrambling.

I was just coming here to see if others had heard this news. I just got an email from my child's psychiatrist about this. (I have received no communications through Chesapeake itself.)

My child had just started seeing a therapist through the center -- he has an appointment this Thursday! This is all just shocking to me.

we just got the email from my child's psychiatrist. I can't even imagine what would have caused this. I feel that we deserve answers. WE've certainly pumped enough money into the place!

We just finished Neuropsych testing and were supposed to get our final report next week. We haven't heard from our doctor. I hope that we'll be able to get the results because we need them for school support. This is really unexpected!
