U of South Carolina EA release timing?

My kid was deferred and then accepted last year. It was his clear first choice until he got deferred. That made him mad and he moved on. Worked out for the best. Didn't get the merit we expected from South Carolina and he loves the school he picked.

My son was different than a lot of kids because he applied early to all of his schools. Other than South Carolina everything came back by Christmas.

Overenrolled for sure. Several lawsuits from neighborhoods regarding the record class sizes yet lack of University planning for such. Housing is the number one problems facing USC but other campuses facilities are also becoming overwhelmed.

UofSC’s business school is ranked higher than either of those schools and is more selective for business.

DC accepted USC Business w/merit ("at least" $44k over 4 yrs). Also accepted UTK Business w/merit ($36K over 4 yrs), Clemson Business w/merit (TBD-March), Auburn Business w/merit ($60K over 4yrs). And UGA no merit. Leaning UGA. USC Honors + more merit might tip the balance though.

4.0 gpa (uw) 32 ACT. Well-rounded (sports, volunteer activities, arts) but nothing "standout." Strong essays. DMV private.

Sounds like a few angry boomers. Better a college like this than an under enrolled podunk college.
