Longer video. Apparently the shooter who lost his gun rejoined the 2nd and opened fire on police / continued the shooting. Insane.

Hero should have shot the terrorist, but Australia.

This is more false hype from the gun lobby. Statistically speaking, the number of instances where "good guys with guns" stopped violent crimes from happening is extremely small, so small as to be virtually ineffective. Meanwhile the number of crimes committed with guns is significantly higher here than virtually any other modern civilized nation.

Oh god, don’t try to explain statistics to these people. It’s just a subset of the maga cult that’s used to sell guns for the lobby.

This is why you should do background checks. Do not hire maga.

Hooda thunk it.

It IS working. The weapons used would have been acquired illegally. You can't completely stop all shootings by banning weapons, but you can reduce the overall number.

I did some research:

The Bondi Beach attack involved illegally obtained firearms, as mass shootings with multiple assailants using rifles/shotguns would violate Australia's strict post-1996 gun laws (which ban semi-automatic rifles, impose licensing, registration, and "genuine reason" requirements). In Australia, criminals typically source illegal guns through:black market networks (often linked to organized crime), theft from licensed owners or dealers, "straw purchases" (licensed individuals buying for criminals) and unregistered holdovers from pre-1996 or illicit imports.

Of course, but you are taking to people that voted for Donald Trump. Good luck with any adult conversations.

Yeah, I always like to tuck a handgun into my budgie smugglers while I frolic in the surf at Bondi.

Lmao.

The thing is, the person you are talking to probably does, and they have plenty is space to do it.

This hero, wearing clothes, took down one of the terrorist. Could of done it 9 minutes earlier with a gun and many would of survived.

Huh

“BREAKING: On December 13, one day prior to the Bondi Beach shooting, someone in Tel Aviv searched for Naveed Akram on Google.

This is exactly what happened with Tyler Robinson and the D.C. National Guard Shooter.

Google should be subpoenaed.”

So you think that everyone should be armed at all times when going out in public?

PS. It's "could have done"--not "could of done."

Please, stop being stupid, it’s embarrassing for you and it makes us all uncomfortable. Had it been in the US it would have been some maga with 10x the firepower killing 10x as many people and every big bad gun owner would have hidden under the bed and barked like an elderly poodle.

? That’s the chatter that has all been shut down by equating it with antisemitism. But it seems antisemitism still exists (sadly!).

Maybe don’t shut down free speech. Maybe don’t support a government that shoots at people holding up their hands and withholds food for kids. Maybe try to seeing that by claiming ancient homeland, Israeli displaced people living there all along and think about how you’d react in their shoes.

We’ve learned time and time again violence is not the answer. Let’s try compassion.

I mean one kind easily say if a government killed 4 million of you in an effort to eradicate you from the earth, you might fight tooth and nail for a safe place.

Exactly. Trigger happy yahoos just waiting for the slightest pretext to shoot.

Thank you for displaying your complete ignorance of risk and statistics. It very much helps us out.
